French Colonies. (New Caledonia - French Postage Dues). 1903. Picture post card of 'Case de Chef, Canaque' addressed to France bearing New Caledonia Yvert 41, 1c black, Yvert 42, 2c lilac (pair on reverse) and Yvert 43, 4c lilac-brown tied by Noumea/ Nlle Caledonia double ring '9th Sept', routed via French paquebot with 'Ligne N Paq. Fr. No 2' date stamp '4th Oct', underpaid with 'T' hand-stamp and bearing French postage dues Yvert 10, 1c black (pair) applied and tied by Bussiere Poitevine/ Haut Vienne double ring receiver on face (and tying the New Caledonia stamps on reverse) dated '22nd Oct'.
Postcard should have paid 10 cents, but underpaid by 1 cent and so taxed with two cents French postage due.
