Envelope written from the 'Netherlands Consulate, Auckland' endorsed 'Certified as Official Correspondence on the Business of the Government of the Netherlands (signed by the Vice- Consul) addressed to Bandoeng, Java bearing New Zealand SG 580, 2d orange (strip of three) tied by Remuera date stamp '5th Dec 41' with circular 'Vice-Consulaat der Nederlanden/ Auckland' in blue with octagonal 'Not Opened by Censor in N.Z./ 3' in violet, routed via Australia with '2/ Passed by/ Censor/ 1103' applied in Sydney and framed 'Niet Door Censuur Geopend/ 11' on face in carmine applied in Bandoeng.
A very fine item.
