Air Mail envelope written from Persia addressed to Mombasa, British East Africa bearing Persia Yvert 630, 1r green (2) and Yvert 632, 2r turquoise mixed with Air Mail Yvert 58, 10c blue and orange (3) tied by Abadan date stamp '2nd Aug', routed via Basra and Egypt, underpaid with circular 'T' and hand-struck instructional 'Surcharged Officially/ Shgs Cents 10/ Prepaid Postage Insufficient/ P.O. Mombasa/ Kenya' date stamp '20th Aug 38' on face. Very rare incoming Air Mail from Persia, taxed with British East Africa postage due and hand-stamp only known 20th August 1938 as listed by Proud.
