Air Mail envelope written from the 'American Mission, Bahrain Islands, Persian Gulf' addressed to New York bearing SG 19, 4a sage-green (3 on face 5 on reverse), SG 20, 3p slate (two pairs on reverse) and SG 24, 2a vermillion (six on reverse) tied by Bahrain/ Persian Gulf double ring '6th Aug 42', endorsed ' by Air Mail/ Singapore' with 'Opened by Censor' label tied by triangular 'Passed By Censor/ A - 11' hand-stamp on face. Spectacular franking routed via Singapore and the Pacific.
