V Suez/ Marseille' French entry cachet in red on face '24th Feb 62' , rated '16' with Paris a Sedan ambulant '26/2' on reverse with Fay Champ arrival '26/2' and forwarded to Reims. Superb item sent by P & 0 steamer via Madras and Suez with the 'PD' erased by the French under the 1860 Franco-Spanish Treaty and the amount of 16 decimes (double letter rate) paid by the addressed in Mareuil-sur-Ay.
