Envelope written from the 'Museum of Natural History, Paris' with blue cachet on reverse, addressed to the 'French Scientific Mission in Manila, Philippines' bearing French 'Type' Sage Yvert 89, 10c black/lilac and Yvert 91, 25c black/ red tied by Paris/ Cardinal-Lemoine double ring '13th Oct 79', routed via Marseille with Manila arrival '25th Nov' and forwarded to Davao and Solo, Ile Lucon. Lovely item from the correspondence of Monsieur St. Pol Lias and de la Croix of the French Scientific Mission to Sumatra and Perak.
