Philippines. (Trans - Pacific Mail - Singapore). 1940. Air Mail envelope addressed to Switzerland bearing Philippines SG 561, 6c green (strip of 5 and block of 10 on reverse) tied by Bacoled Occidental Negro duplex ;June 7 1940' carried via Singapore with censor tape tied by violet 'Passed By Censor 91/ Singapore' hand-stamp on face and reverse with framed 'A.V. 2' in red on face (small hand-stamp) and m/s '12 Aug' indicating arrival date.
Scarce small 'AV. 2' hand-stamp used in Singapore (15.2.40) - (9.5.40).
Also the censor number '91' has been erased and m/s '97' placed in pencil on face and reverse. Not noted by 'Morenweiser."
