Stamp-less envelope written from Greenock dated 'No 5th 1849' addressed to Porto cancelled by Greenock date stamp in blue/green, routed via London, rated '1/9', endorsed 'per Pehio via Southampton' with framed Porto arrival '12th Nov' and charged with hand-struck '420' on face. Lovely item paying the 420 triple rate for mail by British packet.
