Stamp-less folded letter addressed to Porto cancelled by Greenock date stamp in blue/ green dated 'Sept 17 1852'., rated '1/3 in m/s, endorsed 'via France', routed via London with French entry cachet and oval 'P.F.' (Paid Frontier) with Lisboa transit and charged '600' in blue on face with m/s '70' paying 670 due with oval '30/ Rs' tax hand-stamp in red and framed 'Porto' arrival '2nd Oct' on reverse. A lovely cover taxed a t 600 on overseas mail via France and Spain.
