Stamp-less folded letter written from San Juan dated '12th Dec 1854' addressed to 'Monsieur Delord, St. Thomas (Danish West Indies) cancelled by Crown Circle 'Paid At San Juan Porto Rico' with 'San-Juan-Porto-Rico' British Post Office double arc on reverse 'Dec 13' and oval 'Elzabura Y Co/ Puerto Rico' forwarding agent cachet on face, rated '2/-' in manuscript red crayon.

Monsieur Delord was a political activist and judge from Cahors, France, sent to exile on Puerto Rico.
