Registered envelope addressed to France bearing Russian Levant Yvert 28, 1p on 10k blue (pair) tied by 'R.O.P.I.T./ Metelin' double ring in violet (Tchil Fig 143) with 'Post Russe/ Metelin/ Recommande' registered label and 'Recommande' hand-stamp, routed via the Russian Post Office 'Constantinople' with Chambery arrival. Scarce item from the Russian Post Office in Metelin. Very fine.
