Picture post card of 'The old Cathedral, Tchita (Chita), Siberia dated '7th Sept 1903' addressed to France bearing Russia Yvert 41, 4k rose tied by KHILC STATION, Zaba-Ik J.D. date stamp '25/8' carried on the Baikal railway via Irkutsk and Zabaik Train Wagon 26/8' to Moscow '6-9' (19th Sept) with Paris arrival '22nd Sept 03'.

Card mentions the upcoming opening of the Trans-Siberian railway to Foreign mail.

Scarce item routed overland before the commencement of the Trans-Siberian Railway which opened in 1904.
