Registered envelope addressed to France bearing Russian Levant Yvert 30a, 2pi on 20k blue and carmine tied by 'R.O.P.I.T./ Metelin' double ring in carmine (Tchil Fig 143) with 'Post Russe/ Metelin/ Recommandee' registration label and 'Recommande' hand-stanp, routed via the Russian Post Office Constantinople with Chambery arrival. Scarce item from the Russian Post Office in Metelin with cancel not recorded by Tchilinghirian in carmine.
