Seychelles. (Germany - Seychelles Reply Card). 1895. Seychelles postal stationery reply card 'four cents' red dated 'Oldenburg 10th Mar 95' with additional German 'Reichpost' Yvert 47, 10pf carmine tied by Oldenburg date stamp '10th Mar 95'.
The reply half addressed back to Mahe, Seychelles, endorsed 'via Marseille' with Seychelles arrival on face '5th May.'
French paquebots had no direct service with the Seychelles until 1897. Mail from Marseille was carried via Zanzibar or Reunion. This card left Marseille on the French paquebot "Yangse' arriving in Reunion '23/4'.
