Stamp-less envelope written from "Daphne" between Valparaiso and Callao" dated 'March 3rd 1851' addressed to London with 'Panama/ 22 Mr 1851/ Transit' hand-stamp 'Mr 26' and rated '2s' in m/s. with London receiver '25th April' on reverse. Nice item written by Captain Edward Fanshawe commander of the 'Daphne" mentioning his trip to the Ian Island.
