St. Vincent. (Village Postmarks). 1898. Registered envelope addressed to 'Myerscough, London' bearing SG 47, 1/2d green and SG 56, 4d yellow tied by Kingstown/ St. Vincent (code "A") date stamp 'Ju 10 98', struck twice with small St. Vincent/ A date stamp adjacent and oval hand-struck 'R' with 'Saint Vincent/ R. 5, 144' label on reverse and with hooded Registered/ London arrival on face in violet and black '22nd June'.

No doubt this cover was posted from a village as Proud suggests the small date stamp "possibly supplied for use on overseas mail to conform with UPU regulations".
