St. Vincent. (Anglo-French Accountancy). Circa 1872. SG 12, 4d yellow cancelled by oval Anglo-French accountancy 'GB/ 40c' in red.
New research has established three differing instruments of this accountancy hand-stamp, (Proud and Messenger mention only two), the sans-serif "4", the seriffed "4" and the small "C" now known to be used from the village of Biabou.
This is a very colourful example of the small "C" with a beautiful strike in red.
