Air Mail envelope addressed to 'Cadet Wing, School of Artillery, Doolali, c/o Indian Command 'bearing Switzerland 'Pax' 80c olive and 1f turquoise tied by Zurich double ring '11th May 45' with oval 'O.A.T.' in carmine (Onward Air Transmission) routed via Bombay with 'Opened by Examiner' label tied by framed 'Crown/ Passed/ DHC 81' censor cachet and arrival '17th Juin' on reverse. Scarce item.
Deolali originally had been an Assembly Camp for German men and then from 23rd Feb 41 a Internment Camp for German men.
