Switzerland. (France). 1867. Envelope addressed to France bearing Yvert 37, 20c orange and Yvert 41a, 1f bronze tied by Geneva date stamp '16th Mars 67' with m/s '4' inred crayon erased and anointed '5' in black crayon with 'PD' erased and hand-struck 'Affr. Insuf,' on face with 'Suisse 3 Bellegarde' French entry cachet and charged '13' on face. Originally a four times rate cover charged 1f20 but underpaid then re-charged 5 times hence '13 (1, 30) in m/s. Very rare item with scarce 1 franc gold/bronze on cover. Superb exhibition item.
