Thailand. (Netherlands Post Office in Bangkok). 1946. Stamp-less envelope endorsed 'On Active Service' written by Capt. Theelen (ex POW) to his wife in Maastricht dated '2nd March 1946. Capt. Theelen had been a Dutch POW in the Netherlands Indies and Bangkok, while awaiting repatriation he organized the Netherlands Post Office in Bangkok requesting a Swiss style date stamp for use by the Netherlands Mission. The cancel was received by Theelen on the 26th March 1946 and the office closed on the 26th November 1946.
