Thailand. (Burma-Thai Railway). 1942. Australia Red Cross envelope headed 'Prisoner of War Post/ Service des Prisonniers de Guerre c/o Japanese Red Cross Society/ Tokyo, Japan' written from Hay, N.S.W. addressed to 'Driver Harris, 2/3rd Reserve Motor Transport Company, A.E.F. Australian Prisoner of War, Java' with '3/ Opened by Censor' tape tied by framed 'Passed by Censor/ V. 103' censor in violet on face, m/s 'OS 14/10/42' with 'Matsushita' censor in carmine and endorsed 'Received 1/4/45' Tamarkan, Siam'. Harris had been sent from Java to Burma via Singapore on 14th October 42, originally at Thanbyuzayat, Harris was moved to 105 Kilo Camp and Tamarkan Camp. Very nice item.
