Thailand. (The rejected issue). 1897. Siam postal stationery card "rejected die" 1 1/2 atts carmine on yellow mint card. Postcard designed by "Giesecke & Devrient" in an edition of 10,000. This postcard was rejected, but 5,000 were inadvertently issued to the Post Office in Bangkok by the Treasury in October 1899. In 1903 the balance at the Treasury with those it had been possible to recover from the Post Offices were burnt.
