Thailand. 1899. Siam postal stationery card 1 att orange upgraded with SG 11, 1a green and SG 44, 2a on 64a purple and brown tied by Kosichang date stamp addressed to the United States with New York receiver on face.
Superb item from Ko Sichang a small island in the Gulf of Thailand. It was the site of Phra Chuthathut Palace where the Siamese Royal Family vacationed until 1893, when the French occupied the island. In 1900 the palace was dismantled and reassembled in Bangkok as Vimanmek Palace.
