Air Mail envelope addressed to New York bearing SG 242, 25s blue (pair), SG 244, 1t green and lilac and SG 245, 2t vermilion and carmine tied by Bangkok GPO date stamp '20th March 40', endorsed 'via USA Clipper/ Trans Pacific Mail' with framed 'Imperial Airways' in violet struck twice on face.
The hand-stamp 'Imperial Airways' indicates the cover was flown to Europe by flying boat reaching Poole and sent by ship across the Atlantic from Liverpool. The cover evaded censorship.
