Thailand. (India - Imperial Airways). 1937. Air Mail envelope sent 'Advice of Receipt' and Registered mail addressed to Bombay bearing SG 268, 50s orange and black tied by Bangkok GPO date stamp '22nd Aug 37' with matching registration label and framed hand-struck 'A.R.', endorsed 'Per Imperial Air Mail' with Calcutta and Bombay on reverse '26th Aug.'
Nice single franking paying the 20 satang airmail to India, 15 satang for registration and 15 satang Advice of Receipt (A.R.). Very nice single franking usage.
The mail was carried via Rangoon. (Rough opening on left).
