Thailand. (British East Africa - Overland Mail via Burma). 1902. Picture post card of 'The Wakikuya Tribe, Mombasa' addressed to 'C.M. Medworth, Maken My Pre (Muang Phrae), Siam' bearing British East Africa SG 66, one anna carmine tied by Nakuru/ E.A.P.' date stamp '16th June 02', endorsed 'via Rehang and Moulmein, Burma' with Mombasa transit '19th June' and Bombay 'July 15', routed overland via Burma with Lampang '18th Aug 02' on face.

Wonderful item carried by overland mail to Northern Siam via Burma and Rehang (Trat).

C.M. Medworth was a Forestry Officer in Muang Phrae and Lakon (Lampang).

At this time the area was under attack from the Shan Forces invaders.
