Thailand. (Netherlands - Philippines). 1938. Air Mail envelope written from Beemster addressed to the Philippines bearing Netherlands Yvert 146, 25c olive and Yvert 373, 12 1/2c blue tied by Beemster date stamp '5th Dec 38' with m/s 5 gram' in pencil, routed via Bangkok '11/12' and Victoria/ Hong Kong '14th Dec' with hand-struck two parallel bars in black on face.
The 'jusqu'a' hand-stamp indicating the end of Air Mail service from Hong Kong to the Philippines. The cover was carried from Holland by 'K.L.M.' to Bangkok and then by Imperial Airways to Hong Kong on the weekly flight and further by ship to Manila.
