Thailand. (Burma - Overland Mail Route). 1899. Registered envelope addressed to 'Duncans, Vancouver Island, British Columbia' bearing Siam SG 12, 2s green and carmine, SG 50, 10a on 24a purple and blue (strip of three) and SG 52, 4a on 12a purple and carmine tied by Lampang date stamp '15th Oct 1899' with second strike on reverse, with hand-struck boxed 'R' and m/s Registered', endorsed 'via Burma' and routed via Raheng '22nd October', carried overland on the Burma mail route via Myawaddy and Kawkareik and on 'P & 0' steamer from Moulmein with hooded 'Registered/ London' on face in violet '25th Nov' and forwarded from Duncans to Qugmichan on arrival.

Amazing Registered Burma Overland mail cover. The only registered item known and the only Siam surcharges on a cover to Canada, made even more exceptional as this cover is going to a small Native Canadian village on British Columbia Island.
