Printed circular headed 'Baltimore Price Current Letter Sheet' dated 'January 3rd 1857' addressed to the Netherlands cancelled by Baltd/ Paid undated double ring in blue, endorsed 'Per Europa from New York via Rotterdam' rated '7 1/2' due rating in m/s with triangular framed hand-stamp '1 1/2 C/ Schiedam' applied on arrival with Schiedam receiver '20th Jan 1857' in red on reverse.

Printed circular sent in British Open Mails at Newspaper rate. Schiedam applied triangle 1 1/2 cents marking in black, a fiscal tax on all printed matter from Foreign countries (Zegelrecht), not usually seen on front of covers , but usually inside.
Lovely item, a four page printed circular with the Export and Import prices for Whiskey, Sugar, Cotton, Coffee, Fish, Meats and Tobacco.
