Zone des Communications' in violet addressed to a French Corvette 'Capitaine de corvette "L' Huillier", Marine au Levant, B.C.M. 1/ VE. 41, (c/o French Liaison Com Z APO 887', routed via Paris with double ring 'Paris Tri No 16/ Rue Single' and framed slogan with circular 'Croix de Lorraine' 'C.M.' censor in violet on face and 'Postes Aux Armees/ F.F.L./ B.C.M.A.' date stamp '12th June' on reverse.
Very nice item with letter in French.
British Armed Forces moved in on May 7th 1945 and were relieved by the 29th United States Infantry on May 20th, part of the enclave of the US Zone in Germany.
