Carried by Cunard Line steamer via Halifax to Liverpool.
In the Richard Winter Transatlantic mail sale (Schuyler Rumsey 2013 lot 381) notes "Examples of the large red New York 19c credit marking are recorded from April 1849 to February 1850, an uncommon marking.
