Envelope addressed 'Care of British Consul, Chieng Mai, via Paphoon, Burma' bearing United States SG 211, 5c brown (pair) tied by New York duplex 'Dec 29 84' routed via Brindisi ;12th Jan ' with Sea Post Office transit '17 Jan' and Moulmein (Burma) 'Feb 8th 85' on reverse. A very early cover sent via the Papun route established in 1884 before Siam's entry into the UPU.

Air Mail envelope headed 'Poste Aerienne Voie Air Orient' addressed to Syria bearing French Indo-China SG 155, 30c grey and blue (pair) tied by Saigon Central/ Cochinchine date stamp with 'Par Avion' label and circular cachet 'Premier Services Reguliers/ France Indo-Chine/ Vie Air Orient' in violet, endorsed 'Par Avion de Saigon a Beyrouth' with Bangkok. Penang and Port Taufio transits with Beyrouth arrival. Scarce.

Very attractive item of censored mail.
