Very fine and scarce 'Ship Letter ' in blue.

Air Mail envelope written by a Scandinavian internee from 'Perote Interment Camp' with Camp seal on reverse, addressed to 'International Red Cross, Agence Centrale des Prisonniers de Guerre, Geneva, Switzerland' bearing Mexico 'Air Mail' Yvert 63, 20c carmine (2) and Yvert 66, 50c green tied by Perote date stamp, endorsed 'By Transatlantic Clipper to Lisboa' routed via the United Stats with 'Censor/ U.S.A.' censorship label and german censor tape tied by circular German censor hand-stamp in carmine. Serbia. 1915. Picture post card from Belgrade of the 'New Casserne' addressed to France cancelled by military cachet 'Escadrille M.F.S./ Le Commandant' in violet with Lyon arrival in May 1915. Scarce item from the French Serbian Air Force M.F.S 99 in World War One.
The Serbian Escadrille (Air Force) had only 7 working planes due to the Air Supremacy of the 'K.U.K. Luftrahrtruppen' over Serbian sky's the French Escadrille M.F.S. 99 arrived in March 1915.

Stamp-less picture post card of 'Water-Way of the Canal, Port Said' addressed to France endorsed 'Franchise Militaire' and cancelled 'Corps D' Armees/ Port Said' date stamp '1st Avril 17' with circular 'Legion D'Orient/ Bureau de Comptubilite' in blue with hand-struck 'Legion D' Orient/ Bureau de Comptabilite/ No 74' and 'Port Said le 1st Avril 1917/ Le Chef du Bureau de Comptabilite' and signed by the Commander.

In the spring of 1915, Egypt was designated as a staging point for the Allied expedition against the Dardanelles with Alexandria being the prime base. When the venture failed, Egypt remained important and was used as a base for the expeditions to Hejaz and Palestine.
A second base was set up by the French at Port Said the entrance to the Suez Canal.

Sudan. 1908. Sudan registered postal stationery 'one piastre' blue cancelled by Bor date stamp '23rd Oct 08' with matching registered label addressed to Khartoum with receiver on reverse. Very fine.

Envelope written from 'Zemio, Hout-Oubangui' addressed to France bearing Sudan SG 18, 1m brown and carmine (5) and SG 13, 5m carmine and black tied by Wau date stamp '12th Oct', routed via Meshra-El-Rek '17th Oct', Khartoum '5th Nov' with Shellal-Halfa/ TPO/ No 1' ambulant '10th Nov' and Cairo '12th Nov' with Paris arrival '6th Nov' on reverse. Very scarce item of mail from Upper Oubangui Chari and routed north over the Sudan river border via Egypt to France. A quicker routing.

The British Consulate at Mega in Ethiopia lies 75 miles North-West of Moyate and is one of the scarcest postal franks recorded.
