Very fine.

Stamp-less envelope addressed to France written from Sierra Leone dated '12th April 1865' cancelled by Sierra Leone date stamp on reverse routed via London with boxed Anglo-French accountancy 'GB/2f' , French entry cachet and 'Lyon a Marseille' ambulant, rated '20' in m/s on arrival with Toulon receiver. Fine item of accountancy mail from West Africa.

Sierra Leone. 1894. Sierra Leone 'Parcel Post/Customs Declaration' from cancelled by Freetown/Sierra Leone date stamp 'My 28' with 'West Coast of Africa/Foreign and Colonial/Parcel Post, Parcel Passing Through The Post Office, Liverpool' addressed to Manchester. (The parcel contained a ring declared value 1.1.6. A very fine and unusual item from Sierra Leone.

Sierra Leone. (Burma). 1922. Envelope written from the 'West African Frontier Force' addressed to '1st Staffordshire Regiment, Maymyo, Burma' bearing Sierra Leone SG 131, 1/2d green (pair) and SG 113, 1d carmine tied by Freetown/ Sierra Leone date stamp 'No 4 22' with 'Train Late/ Dely/ Maymyo Alexandra Barracks' double ring on reverse '21st Dec 22'. The only known example of this Burma Railway postmark from the British Military Barracks.

Lovely item sent by Pan-American Grace Airways via Panama and Miami then carried over the Atlantic.
