Very attractive item of mail into the Netherlands Indies.

Air Mail envelope endorsed 'Via Burma-Hong Kong-USA-Lisbon' addressed to London bearing Burma SG 15, 5r ultramarine and blue, SG 24, 2p carmine and SG 28,4a turquoise (strip of three) tied by Rangoon double ring '22nd March 41' with m/s received 'April 21st' on reverse. Very nice franking paying the 5 Rupees 14 anna two Oceans Air mail rate.

Burma. 1941. Air Mail envelope addressed to England bearing Burma SG 23, 1 1/2a turquoise (block of four) tied by Experimental P.O. (R-8) date stamp '7th Ap 41'. Very rare Burma Field Post Office No 7 at Yaenangyang. At the time of Publication not discovered by Proud, this the only recorded example. Ex Proud.

Air Mail Photographic card 'Local Bazaar' written from 'Maymyo' dated '10th March 41' addressed to London endorsed 'Via Air Mail/ Rangoon, Chunking and U.S.A.' with triangular 'Passed/Z/Censor/1' in violet on face. Superb item with 'Z' censor from Lashio, censor 'I' not recorded by Morenweiser and listed by him from Oct 41 until 18 March 42. Great item for the Trans-Pacific- Trans-Atlantic Air mail exhibitor.

Air Mail envelope written from Maymyo addressed to Hong Kong bearing Burma SG 1, 3p slate, SG 20, 6p blue, SG 24, 2a carmine and SG 28, 4a turquoise (pair) tied by 'Maymyo double ring '23rd Sept 41' routed via Lashio with 'Opened by Censor' label tied by triangular 'Passed/Z/Censor/2' cachet in violet on face with Hong Kong (K) receiver of Kowloon '1st Oct' and framed Not Opened by Censor' in violet and circular 'KE2' postmans chop on face. Rare 'Z' censor from Lashio with maybe ten items know.

Official mail envelope headed 'On His Majesty's Service' addressed to 'The Commissioner of Imperial Customs, Tengyueh, China' bearing India 'Service' SG 077, 1/2a green tied by 'Experimental P.O.R. 19' double ring '6th July 20' routed via Bhamo with transit '9th July' on reverse. Scarce Experimental Post Office/R. 19', believed to be from Rangoon. Very little is known about these scarce marks. EX Proud.

Air Mail envelope addressed to Scotland bearing SG 22, 1a brown tied by Maymyo double ring '11th June 41' with framed instruction 'Insufficiently Paid For/Transmission by Air Mail' , underpaid with 'T' hand-stamp and horseshoe 'Maymyo/Due/As' on face. on face. This is the example recorded by Ted Proud in his excellent book on Burma.

Air Mail envelope endorsed 'Via Burma-Hong Kong-USA-Lisbon-UK' addressed to England bearing Burma SG 24, 2p carmine, SG 28, 4a turquoise, SG 29, 8a myrtle and SG 32, 5r scarlet and purple tied by Rangoon/Sorting double ring with 'Opened by Censor' tape tied by triangular 'Passed X Censor/55' in violet on face and reverse. Superb cover routed via Hong Kong and the United States with scarce 5 Rupee on cover.

Burma. (Yunnan-China). 1925. Indian postal stationery envelope 'one anna' brown upgraded with India SG 168, 2a mauve tied by Bhamo double ring '9th DEc 25' addressed to 'H.G. Fletcher, (Commissioner of Customs), Tengyueh, China endorsed 'via Myitkyina' with transit '10th Dec 25' and Imperial Post arrival '15th Dec 25' on reverse. Fine item of Overland Mail to China.

India. (Aden). 1870. Printed Circular from 'Finlay, Scott & Co, Bombay' dated '14th Jan 1870' addressed to Amsterdam bearing India SG 61, 2a yellow tied by Bombay/India Paid duplex and oval 'Finlay/Scott' firms chop in green, routed via Suez and Marseilles with Anglo-French accountancy 'GB/1f20c' on face (Van der Linden 1582), rated '9' in m/s with Amsterdam receiver. Very rare accountancy used for circular on the Bombay-Aden Sea Post Office.

India. (Indian Prisoner Of War Mail). 1942. Envelope addressed to Germany bearing India SG 265, 3p grey, SG 266, 1/2a purple, SG 267, 9p green and SG 268, 1a carmine (2) by 'Field Post Office No 654' date stamp '7th April 42' endorsed 'No 126908 HCS Prisonio Quar Os' on reverse with 'Unit Censor' and framed 'By Surface Route/ Delhi Air' .

Attractive item and scarce Delhi Air Mail hand-stamp.

India. 1940. Envelope addressed to Holland bearing SG 250, 1a carmine and SG 252, 2a 6p violet tied by Lahore double ring '10th April 40' with '
Passed by Censor' label with instructional 'Service Suspended/ returned To Sender' in violet in face and Lahore GPO '6th Jan 41' on reverse. This item was sent surface mail and Holland had been invaded and occupied on the 10th May 40.

Stamp-less envelope from 'Dehra Dum' Internment Camp hand-stamped 'Service of Prisoners of War' with framed 'Crown/ Passed DHN/ 2' censor hand-stamp and German censor label tied by circular censor cachet on reverse. Red Cross 'Card of Capture For Italian Prisoners Of War' headed 'Prisoner Of War Post' 'Postage Free' addressed to 'Au Comite International de la Croix Rouge/ Agence Centrale Des Prisonniers de Guerre, Geneve' written by an Italian POW in 'Camp No 19, Wing 1, India' dated '12-2-42'. Very nice card from an Italian POW captured in Bardia (Libya) and held as a POW in India.

Envelope with crest of the 'Tenth Royal Hussars' addressed to England bearing India SG 81, 6a pale brown tied by Nowshera duplex 'Nov 4' and endorsed on reverse 'Nowshera 4Nov 78 Afghan War', routed via Bombay No 9 9' with Fairford arrival on reverse 'Nov 29th'. The 10th Royal Hussars fought in the Battle of Ali Masjid at the start of the Second Afghan Campaign.

Envelope addressed to Tripoli, North Africa bearing India SG 156, 1/2a green and SG 160, 1a carmine (pair) tied by Bombay double ring with 'Verificato/Per/Censura' label tied by framed 'Tripoli/Censura/N.3' in violet on face and reverse. Scarce Great War censorship from Libya.

Envelope addressed to Kango, Luna, Gabon bearing India SG 247, 3p slate and SG 248, 1/2a brown tied by Byculla/Bombay roller '29 July 41' with 'Passed Censor/ C 277' with 'Not Transferable/Chief Censor' label on reverse, routed via Lagos with boxed 'Censor' and Liberville/ Moyen Congo with circular 'Controle Postal /Commission C/ Afrique Equatoriale Francaise' censor on reverse. Very rare censor applied giving permission for the dispatch of packages.

Scarce item from the Tirah Campaign written by Major General Lord Methuen to his wife in London with p/c of original latter. Kohat was the Base Office for the Campaign. Robson Lowe yet to record a cover.

Burma. (Japanese Occupation Of Burma). 1942. Envelope addressed to Letpadan bearing Japanese Occupation of Perak SG J193, 5c brown tied by bilingual Hsipaw double ring with Letpadan/R.M.S. Sorting' arrival on reverse. Owing to shortage of Burma stamp in the Shan States, Malaya Japanese Occupation stamps were used. Only a few covers are known from this Office only.
