Jamaica. (Trans-Atlantic Mail). 1942. Air Mail envelope addressed to Surrey bearing SG 122, 1d scarlet (2), SG 128, 6d purple and black and SG 1239, 9d lake (2) tied by Darliston/ Jamaica date stamp with 'Opened by Censor' tape in (red on white) and circular '15' censor in violet on face, endorsed 'Trans-Atlantic Air Mail'. Very fine.

Jamaica. (France). 1831. Stamp-less envelope written from Kingston, Jamaica dated '10th Jan 1831' addressed to France, charged '9' and endorsed 'Acheminer pa "P. Rivery" with disinfection slits and French entry cachet boxed 'Pays D' Outremer' and Nantes double ring on face '1st Aout 1831'. Fine early letter from Jamaica to France forwarded and disinfected.

Registered Air Mail envelope addressed to 'Major Schouten, Netherlands Indies Government, Camp Columbia, Brisbane' bearing Holland 2c green and 50c bistre (pair) tied by Nijmegen date stamp with registration label and 'Nederland/ Opend Door Den Censuurdienst' label, with Brisbane reciver and forwarded to 'V.A.N.E.Z./ Batavia.'
Major Dr. Schouten had been a Doctor at the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army, Camp Columbia, Wacol, Brisbane' and served with the 'RAPWI' (Recovery of Allied Prisoners of War and Internees) in the Dutch Indies, Timor and Thailand. The N.E.I. Government in Exile was quartered in Camp Columbia from 1944.
