Cayman Islands. 1940. Censored envelope addressed to Ireland bearing SG 117, 1d scarlet tied by Georgetown/ Grand Cayman double ring with 'Opened by Censor' label in green and 'Opened by Examiner/1957' censor label. Difficult censor label and paying the Printed Matter rate.

Stamp-less envelope written from Castries, Saint Lucia dated '20th Nov 1833' addressed to France, charged '10', routed via Cayenne, French Guyana and forwarded via Martinique with hand-struck 'Martinique' on reverse with boxed French entry 'Pays D'Outremer/Par Le Havre', rated '25' in m/s and Pau receiver on reverse. Interesting text on the 'Slave Trade'. A very fine item from St. Lucia.

Jamaica. (British Ship Letters). 1790. stamp-less envelope written from Lucca, Jamaica dated '24th June 1790' addressed to Edinburgh endorsed 'by ship "Bird"/Capt Wylio' with hand-struck 'Greenock' and separate 'Ship' hand-stamp (Robertson S1), rated '5' in m/s with London Bishop on reverse in red 'Sp/13'. Very fine item paying the Captains gratuity 1d and In land Greenock-Edinburgh 4d.
